For the word of God is living, and
active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the
dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to
discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Heb 4:12) |

Statement of Faith
A
Statement of Faith is a written declaration of the church's position
on matters that pertain to the essentials of faith in Christ Jesus
The following statements comprise Narrow Gate Ministries Statement of
Faith:
1. We
believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible,
authoritative Word of God. (Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:1,2). Therefore,
our ministry emphasizes the exposition of God's Word from Genesis to
Revelation, line upon line, precept upon precept. (Isaiah 28:10)
2. We believe that the road is narrow and only a few find it.
(Matt. 7:13-14) and that it is important to be taught how to be a
disciple of Christ by those who themselves are disciples. (Matt.
28:18-20)
3. We
believe that there is one God eternally existent in three Persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are properly known as the
Elohim or Godhead.
4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity,
regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance
from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the
only way to come into a relationship with God. But first it is
important to know what you are repenting from and how God sees that
sin.
5 We
believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; we further
believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.
6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost:
they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are
lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
7. We
believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the
early church. Therefore, we hold to the apostles doctrine and the
practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion (Acts
2:42). We do believe that both of these practices as commanded by
Christ are essential and serve as a demonstration of our living faith
in Christ and that it is an outward expression of an inward
confession.

"Don't look for
shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing
formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare
time. Don't fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do.
The way to life--to
God!--is vigorous and requires total attention. |
